Ingredients
- 1/3 cup (or 1 ½ scoop)
- Nälkä Chocolate Plant-Based Protein Drink
- 80 ml
- 3 tbsp.
- Almond flour
- 45 ml
- 1/2 tsp.
- Baking powder
- 2 ml
- 1
- Egg
- 1/4 cup
- 2% Greek yogurt with vanilla
- 60 ml
- 1 tsp
- Maple syrup (optional)
- 5 ml
- ½ tsp
- Vanilla essence
- 2 ml
- 1 or 2 tbsp.
- Almond beverage
- 15-30 ml
- As needed
- Vegetable oil
- Toppings
- 1/3 cup
- 2% Greek yogurt with vanilla

- Chopped pecans, toasted

Directions
- Step 1
- In a large bowl, combine Nälkä Chocolate Plant-Based Protein Drink Powder, almond flour and baking powder. Mix. Set dry ingredients aside.
- Step 2
- In another bowl, combine eggs, yogurt, maple syrup and vanilla extract. Add this mixture to the dry ingredients. Mix. Add almond milk and mix again.
- Step 3
- Heat a non-stick pan. Add a drizzle of vegetable oil.
- Step 4
- Add ¼ cup of pancake mix. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until holes appear on the surface. Flip. Cook for 1 to 2 more minutes. Remove and set aside. Repeat with remaining batter. Makes 3 pancakes, 4-5 inches.
- Step 5
- Top chocolate pancakes with vanilla yogurt and chopped pecans.
Tips
- To toast pecans, bake or pan-fry them for about 8 minutes. This will allow the nuts to fully bring out their flavors.
- Berries, such as blueberries, will add a touch of freshness to these thick protein pancakes.
