Ingredients

- Du Breton organic bacon, cut in bits

- bell pepper, diced

- romaine lettuce, chiseled

- cherry tomatoes, cut in halves or 2 tomatoes, diced
- 1/4 cup
- fresh basil, chopped
- Aioli
- 1
- egg yolk
- 1
- clove garlic, chopped
- 1 tbsp
- Dijon mustard
- 15 ml
- 1 tbsp
- lemon juice
- 15 ml
- 3/4 cup
- canola oil
- 180 ml
- 1/4 cup
- olive oil
- 60 ml
- 1/4 cup
- fresh grated parmesan cheese
- 60 ml
- To taste salt and pepper
Directions
- Step 1
- To prepare the aioli, in a narrow container, place the egg yolk, garlic, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice. Stir to make the mixture homogeneous. Gradually add the oils while mixing. Add parmesan cheese and mix. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Step 2
- Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Step 3
- In a non-stick skillet, cook bacon until crisp. Drain and set aside.
- Step 4
- In a bowl, combine pasta, bacon, bell pepper, lettuce, tomatoes and basil. Add the aioli and mix.
